M.I.A. and stash building

Working hard to earn money for my stash! To account for my relative silence... but let me also take a moment to show off some cross stitch projects I have been working on/finished/finishing up! :D

Let's see... first...
MY W.I.P.s (WORK IN PROGRESS):
~*~ HAED - Autumn Trio ~*~

~*~ LTT (Love Thy Thread) - Hearts and Butterflies (on Mo's fabric) ~*~

COMPLETED PROJECTS SO FAR SINCE LAST POST:
~*~ Rovaris - Horse (Sassy's Fabric - "Spellbound" with Mill Hill Beads) ~*~

~*~ White Willow - Tribal Fish (Under The Sea Fabric - "Underwater Vista" with Jodyri's - "Jungle Cat") ~*~
~*~ AAN - Halloween Mystery SAL (Stitch-A-Long) (Silkweaver's Fabric) ~*~
~*~ Jodyri Designs - Steampunk Cameo (mix of Mo's flosses and Jodyri's flosses) ~*~

Not sure if I want to show off really the stash I've accumulated but it's quite a haul ranging from fabrics, needle minders, counting pins, fobs, kits, etc. I think I have more than enough to tide me over several lifetimes over.. but I can't seem to get enough. >.< Downfall of many stitchers!

Another finish... right?

Another finish.. a knitting finish that is...for another co-worker. :)
And in between bouts of knitting, I had continued with my Tribal Fish:
Doesn't seem too bad does it?

In other news, I've joined a SAL, so as soon as I choose the fabric, I'll be starting on that.. and I need to get back to my HAED owl... :)

Two finishes and a start!

Taken a break from the HAED project already. The color switching was getting tedious. So I started up on a Tribal Fish.. three days in and it looks like this:
And I finally finished my best friends ornament, ready for the Christmas tree, only 11 months to go...
Was delaying on the backing for the longest time. Lastly I finally finished the baby's quilt with the help of my mom and her sewing machine (since it would take a bit longer if I were to do it by hand and the baby is almost 2 months old already!):
The colors are darker in real life but with the sun streaming in from the background, it faded the colors in the picture.

Overall quite happy that I got two gift projects completed this weekend and ready to be gifted and progression on the tribal fish is coming along nicely. :)

Another year...

A new start and a new world of stitching. I've decided to try my hand at HAED (Heaven And Earth Designs) and my first design that I started this year is the Autumn Owl Trio by Annya Kai on 25 ct. Dublin and 2 over 1. Progress thus far:
Since this is my first real project that I had to gather the materials on my own, I started out in the middle and apparently the middle owl has a lot of color changes which I felt I was in over my head. I was informed the other two owls should be easier but we'll see. Going to try to stand firm and stitch away... at least till I get a decent amount done. :)

Stitching mad.. or madly stitching...

Since my last post, I've finished the Tribal Rooster on 12/13/2013
So I had moved onto the Dragonfly which I had finished on 12/20/2013:
And then moved onto a new challenge... a Christmas Ornament for my co-worker that I had bought in Nashville, TN during my vacation:
I thought it would be a nice gift as she does celebrate Christmas while her husband observes Judaism.
Lastly my most recent project, another Christmas Ornament for one of my best friends, yet to be finished:
Need to figure out how to finish these ornaments...

My latest stash haul from Crafty Kitten:
Lighting is probably making it look fickle however they are all 28 ct Jobelan from top to bottom: Aurora, Spring Crocus, Peacock and Twilight Shadows. Threads are Twilight Shadows and Aurora.

Anywho onto to contemplating what I'd like to do next! :)

Merry Christmas All!

Cricket...cricket...

May I present...my latest break from bigger projects... TRIBAL ROOSTER! *trumpet sound* On Silkweaver's Cloudy Day (18 count Aida) and Jodyri's Summer Sunset. Got the Rooster as it is the zodiac animal of my younger brother. :) The rooster's flourished tail looks like half of a butterfly.

Due to the sales from all the wonderful hand dyers out there, I think I *may* have went a little overboard.. however the sales are not done yet! Must...take...advantage of the SALE! SALE! SALE! Oh how I have a love/hate relationship with the word! Although I was good today and haven't caved on a few sales that ended today. I cringe at the thought of what my next credit card bills are going to be... yes credit cards as I ended up using my non-favorite credit card as I was buying from overseas due to international credit card fees. Yep! I am just that bad. Oh and forget about keeping track about how much I spent! That'll just make feel bad about spending. I'll regret it later... perhaps...maybe... maybe not when I get the goods! I'll make it up.. later... maybe...

Working ~10 hours a day every weekday and sometimes Saturdays is exhausting... but I console myself with material goods. :P  I hope everyone had the opportunity to splurge on their hobbies as I have during this Thanksgiving holiday! Wishing the world a good night as it is currently midnight-ish and just the sound of the crickets in my head is sounding off! *doddering off to bed*

Tribal Cat!

From floss toss to the finish! I like to see the progression, don't you? I took a picture every day that I had stitched so I can see the progression. :) Tribal Cat was stitched on Jodyri's fabric - Smoke & Mirrors (28 count Jazlyn) and using her threads, Nevermore.
